The formative basis of his works attempted a strong contrast of color and space and blue and white, and, based on tradition in materials and techniques, he endeavored to express a distinct image in the minimal axiomatic form within minimalism.

The dots, stamped one by one, were expressed as compositional elements such as surface and space of emptiness.

On the canvas, many dots — large and small, wide and narrow — were composed, filling the entire surface of the painting and creating a sense of entering into the space of nature. By making dots and brushing to bring out the sense of color, he did not fix his mind or thoughts in one place, but expressed them freely in the infinite great nature.

작품들의 조형적 기조는 색과 여백,  청과 백의 강렬한 대비를 시도하였고 재료와 기법에서 전통을 바탕으로 미니멀리즘에 최소 공리적 형식으로 뚜렷한 이미지의 표출에 노력하였다. 

한 담 한 담 찍은 점들은 면, 여백 등의 구성적 요소로 표현하였다. 

캔버스  위의 많은 점들은 크고 작게, 넓고 또 좁게 컴포지션 함으로써 화면 가득 차기도 하며 자연의 공간 속으로 들어간다.

점을 찍고 붓으로 칠하여 색감을 살려서 마음이나 생각을 한 곳에 정하지 않고  무한의 대자연에서 자유롭게  표현했다.

: A Story of Home Town

Our lives are becoming more and more complicated.

But we all know.

That by looking at the sky dyed with sunset light,

drinking a cup of tea, and listening to the songs of birds,

we can still find leisure in life.

What has made me who I am today

must be the nature of my childhood memories

that embraced me with wide-open arms,

the birds that sang beautiful songs to me,

the low-roofed houses sitting closely together,

and the winds that crossed the fields.

The prayers that always kept me awake,

the power of love that gave me courage,

and the countless relationships I am thankful for.

The things that remain in my heart have finally made me who I am,

and the joy of recalling them within my works…

I hope my heart will always remain like that of a child.

I want to create works that do not lose purity, curiosity, and passion.

By using pointillism to bring out its formative qualities,

dot by dot I depict mountains, fields, lakes, tigers, magpies, sheep, and flowers.

And in doing so, I always begin a journey of memories

into the beauty of nature.

우리의 삶은 점점 더 복잡해져 간다.
그렇지만 우리는 안다.
노을빛 지는 하늘을 보면서, 한잔의 차를 마시면서,

새들의 노래 소리를 들으면서 삶의 여유를 찾을 수 있다는 것을.

오늘의 나를 만든 것은
유년의 기억 속에 있는 두 팔 벌려 품어주던 대자연이며
아름다운 노래 소리를 들려주던 새들이며

정겹게 들어앉은 지붕, 낮은 집들이며

들녘을 가로지르던 바람이지 않았을까.

내 가슴에 남겨진 것들이 나를 이루었고

그것들을 작품 속에서 추억하고 있는 즐거움이란...

늘 나를 깨어있게 한 기도들과 용기를 준 사랑의 힘과

감사드리고 싶은 수많은 인연들.

나는 내 마음이 어린아이와 같기를 바란다.

순수함과 호기심과 열정을 잃지 않는 작업을 하고 싶다.

점묘법을 사용하여 조형적 특성을 살릴 수 있도록

한 담 한 담 작은 점으로 산, 들, 호수, 까치, 양, 꽃 등을 표현함으로

아름다운 자연 속으로 추억 여행을 시작한다.
